The Lagos State Electricity Law is making waves, and we, the Graced Energy Professionals for Africa (GEPA) have carefully reviewed the bill to break it down for you! The Governor of Lagos state, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu signed the Lagos Electricity Bill 2024 into Law on the 3rd day of December, 2024. The law aims to establish a framework for electricity generation, transmission, distribution and regulation within the State, aligning with Nigeria’s Electricity Act of 2023, which decentralized the power sector.
